The 38th CEVISAMA International Fair, held in the city of Valencia from the 3rd to the 7th of February, hosted the world’s top tile and bathroom manufacturers in a pavilion measuring over 120,000 square metres. The fair welcomed over 90,000 professionals from a total of 155 countries.

COMPAC’s Journey Through CEVISAMA

CEVISAMA was one of the biggest kitchen and bathroom interior design events of the year and one in which COMPAC, a market leader in the industry, certainly couldn’t miss. The Spanish firm showcased one of its most artistic designs at this year’s edition. Undoubtedly, art and design is an intrinsic part of the brand’s DNA, and it was clearly on display during the five-day event.

Furthermore, the fair dedicated a space in the Design Hall in pavilion 6 named #Cevisamatrends, where companies like COMPAC showcased their brand philosophy and some of their most artistic creations. The space was designed to emulate an art gallery, displaying exclusive pieces to a select group of manufacturers.

COMPAC is Committed to Sustainability

COMPAC’s crowned jewel was the Waterstorm Washbasin, which drew the attention of interior design professionals. Arik Levy designed this incredible work of art, which is made from 84% quarried stone and weighs half a tonne. The piece’s composition is an important element, as it is made from Obsidian — a new material comprised of recyclable raw material.

Moreover, the material was lauded at KBIS 2020 (the world’s most important kitchen and bathroom design fair). The event presented COMPAC with the KBIS SUSTAINABILITY AWARD. Specifically, this is due to their development of this material, as well as the firm’s other values, such as the use of BIO resins, using recycled water in manufacturing processes, implementing pioneering measures like reforestation of trees in Portugal and the use of renewable energy during production.

Therefore, COMPAC’s stand at CEVISAMA was a way to showcase the possibilities of using sustainable materials when crafting intelligent design ideas, however inconceivable they may appear at first.
